Bountiful is a fast-growing city in Davis County, Utah. Bountiful, although part of the Ogden-Clearfield Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, serves as a bedroom community to Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. Downtown Bountiful and other parts of the city are located at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Range, which casts its majestic shadow from the east of the city. The residential neighborhoods of Bountiful are nestled on the slopes of the mountain, offering an outstanding panorama of the low-lying areas.

Even beautiful cities aren’t free from the risks of disaster, however. In March of last year, the serenity of the city was interrupted by a garage fire. A large blaze engulfed the home. Firefighters from the South Davis Metro Fire Agency immediately came to fight the fire. Streets were closed, and residents were banned from the area until the fire was tamed.

Garage fires in residential properties are common. Statistics from the U.S. Fire Administration show that about 5 percent of residential blazes originate in the garage. The contents of a garage typically can cause fires that result in heavy damages and can be hard to contain. Homeowners may not detect garage fires until they have reached dangerous levels. They also have the potential of growing faster than fires occurring in other parts of the house.

A fire in one home can have significant bearing on other homes in the community. For example, electric power may be shut down on a whole block in order to prevent further disasters from occurring.

When fire strikes, the Disaster Company is ready to provide a compassionate and helping hand. We handle fire clean up after the blaze is extinguished. We are poised to help with catastrophes in communities across the state, particularly with Bountiful fire clean up.
